Celebrating country sport and community spirit since 1956
Nebo Bushman’s Carnival Inc. (NBCI) is a proud, volunteer-led community organisation that has been bringing people together at the historic Nebo Showgrounds for seven decades. Through our flagship annual events - the Nebo Rodeo, the Nebo Slouch Hat Campdraft, and the Nebo Cutting Show - we celebrate Australia’s rich rural heritage, showcase elite equine and livestock sport, and drive regional tourism.
Our Mission
To deliver premier country events that unite our community, preserve our proud rural traditions, and generate lasting economic and social benefits for Nebo and the wider Isaac region.
Reinvesting in the Community
NBCI proudly supports the local community through reinvesting profits generated from events directly back in the community, through donations, grants and investment in community facility infrastructure
Donations
Each year, NBCI supports a variety of charities and organisations through donations and support.
Over the last several years, NBCI has sponsored the Emerald Rodeo Junior Finals, Global Youth Rubgy Sevens, and Sarina State High School Fort Worth.
NBCI has also donated to PanKind, Breakaway Horse Riders, Sober in the Country and Epilepsy Foundation, the Moranbah Bulldogs & Moranbah Netball clubs, Nebo State School & CWA Nebo/Sarina Branch.
Grants
Our annual beneficiaries are the Nebo ICPA, CQ Rescue, RSL Nebo sub-branch and the Nebo Medical Centre.
NBCI also supports the annual Community Christmas Fair, hosted by the Nebo Community Sports & Recreation Club Inc.
Infrastructure
Nebo Bushman's Carnival Inc invests heavily into local infrastructure projects.
Continuous improvements and maintenance is undertaken on the facilities at the Nebo Showgrounds.
NBCI has also conducted two major lighting upgrade projects at both the undercover and Campdraft arenas, improving the visual amenity of the arenas, competitor safety and spectator experience.
